Even Santa needs a cookie break….I don’t know why I liked this, I think it is the lighting around the tree and the sparkly snowflakes.

Went to the Poinsettia show at the gardens over the weekend….I didn’t know there were so many varieties of poinsettias!  I used Kimi’s 7th day of Christmas texture, thanks Kimi – it is beautiful! :)

A good friend of mine vacationed in Italy and brought me back a bottle of lemon liquor – I don’t have the heart to try the liquor because the bottle is just so pretty! :)

336. Hangs on a Wall

Right next to Scott’s great grandmother’s picture (from yesterday) hangs a First Communion picture of my grandma when she was 7.  I had never seen this picture until after she passed away last April and thought it was beautiful.  Again, I fixed a bunch of rips and tears and some fading, but thought it turned out pretty good.  This picture was taken in 1930.

This is a picture of my huband’s great grandmother that has been passed down through the family.  The picture was taken in 1914….I just love her boots!  The picture I received was huge, so I got it scanned and fixed some of the rips and tears and scaled it down to an 8 X 10 so that it would fit on my wall.  Now we can enjoy it daily! :)

334. City Lights

•November 29, 2009 • 12 Comments

I went out this evening trying to capture some Christmas lights.  This image is of the City of Papillion’s Courthouse and it’s Christmas lights.  Unfortunately, most of the pictures I took did not turn out….any hints on photographing Christmas lights?  I need help! :)
