344. Dusk (MOT#21)

Today was way too cold to go out and take any pictures, after shoveling I stayed near the fireplace the rest of the day!  Tomorrow school is called off for day #3, needlas to say, I have very happy boys!  It is supposed to be freezing cold in the morning (with the wind chill factored in it is supposed to be 24 degrees below zero).  So, to make a long story short, I headed for my archive of pictures and am using another one from our Rocky Mountain trip in October.

After dinner we all decided to hike up the mountain behind our cabin.  It was straight up and boy was I out of breath.  Naturally, the boys jogged up and could have kept on going, ah, to be young again!  It was a beautiful sight on top of that mountain and even more so as daylight turned to dusk and then to dark.  It was much easier running down that mountain before we hit total darkness (and the bear that was supposebly at our cabins the night before).

  1. Wonderful scene to ponder as the cabin fever mounts in you own abode. Stick to your guns girl. Do you want me to post some shots of just how hot it is here or are you okay as you are – Just asking? Tee Hee

  2. Colder at your place then.

  3. Hi Tammy,
There is no way I could have made it up there, but I’ll bet the view was awesome!! Have a great day!

  4. Very dramatic with the tree remains silhoutted against that sky.

  5. This has a real brooding quality about it.

  6. I always like a good mountain photo! As for your kids liking snow days…let’s hear what they think when they have to make up the days in June. Ugh. I’d rather go now!

  7. Looks like a good backdrop for a mystery! Drama!

  8. A very dramatic sky. So beautiful!
