166. Sculpture

For all you baseball fans (and I know there are a few).  Today is the opening ceremony for the College world Series Games held here in Omaha, Ne.  Outside of the stadium is a sculpture which reminds us of the work these teams had to go through to get here.  Let the games begin….

  1. Wow! Great shots of the sculptures. I like how the softness of the sky in the second one complements the gentle lines of the sculpture.

  11. Haha, I just had a quick look at the first picture and thought “hey, muddy players – so how is that a sculpture?” and then I realized they are not real. 😆 Great sculptures! /Viktoria – http://morrdrakens365.wordpress.com/

  17. Thanks for the pics! UNC lost their first game and need to win the next one or they are out. The bottom statue reminds me of the JDOE statues that were all around Omaha in 2001. Is this one of those? I don’t remember that one.

  18. Neat sculptures. The red, white and blue background really makes the photo pop.
