53. Not Your Mother Tongue

At least I hope not……hmmmmm……hardly no words needed for this one.  Our white tiger was putting on quite the show today at the zoo!  I can’t believe I caught this one!  I think he is in bad need of a tooth brush!  This probably isn’t quite the interpretation of the theme you were looking for, but I couldn’t resist!

  1. He is actually testing the air to see which female is in season and how far along she is. The title should be Pheremones

  2. This is a great take on the theme! I was at the zoo today, too! Although, our Sumatran Tiger had his back turned to everyone. This is a fun shot! That’s a gorgeous tiger.

  3. He he he, looks like he smelled something he didn’t like and was making a face about it.

  4. WOW. Great timing to get this one! Great choice for the theme! Love it!

  5. Whoa!!! Tammy what a terrific shot and a fabulous image for the theme. Very well done!

  7. Outstanding! What a gorgeous cat and a great idea for this theme!

  8. It was funny to open your page and see the title of the post and just the top part of the tiger’s head. Then I scrolled down to be treated to the massive tongue in all its glory! A great shot and a good chuckle for the day…. 😉

  9. Wow! How close were you?

  10. Absolutely fabulous 🙂 and such a good laugh. Really like it.

  11. Great shot, Tammy! perfect for the theme!

  12. Oh my gosh…that’s one very long tongue!! Fabulous photograph and perfect for this theme.

  13. This is so funny, Tammy. A great interpretation of the theme. Pretty scary tounge, too.

  14. Very creative take on the theme! That is just about the longest tongue I’ve ever seen….well, except for that guy on Jay Leno’s show last week! Great photo!

  15. Reminds me of that dude from KISS>

  16. Beautiful shot, beautiful creature – but the tongue is kinda creepy – makes my skin crawl to think of that licking me!

  17. I love the creative take here, but, ick, a very long tongue.

  18. He looks like he don’t would like to be in the picture.
    A really great shot.

  19. Ummm …. really can’t add much. It’s a wonderful shot and I’m jealous that you have a zoo so close you can visit often! Very creative take on the theme! I’ll try NOT to copy you!

  20. A ditto on all of the above!

  21. hahaha…love the use of the theme here! And you’ve done a remarkable job capturing that tongue!

  22. What a great shot–perfect theme for it, too! He is magnificent, even in his Flehmen reaction (which is what his face is). It directs air to a specific scent gland that helps him identify what (or who) he’s smelling! (Another useless fact still cluttering my brain from 12 years of cat breeding!)

  23. What a tounge the white tiger has. Lovely picture. We also have white tigers here i Zoo in my town.

  24. Incredible timing! What a beautiful picture. I LOVE it!

  25. Very funny – and what a ham that tiger is! You’ve captured him perfectly.
